Our simple Woman's Large Fossil Ivory Dinner Ring is a classic that will never go out of style. From the early formal rings worn by the Emperors of China, it moved on to the lavish dinner parties on board ships from Europe to Egypt during the late 1800's, and is still so popular today. Ours is designed with a classic tall 18 mm x 25 mm cabochon of Fossil Ivory, entirely shaped by hand in our studio. Fully bezeled and backed, with a 1/16 inch extension all around. Graced with a simple split band. Shown with Fossil Walrus Ivory - Light. No scrimshaw available. As an added personalization option, let us stamp three initials inside of your ring band. The available colors of our high quality Fossilized Ivories are shown below. (Please allow for some color variation in these natural materials.) Our wonderful Ivories have been reclaimed from the ground after sharing the earth for up to 30 millennia! Even after all this time, Fossil Ivory remains warm and sensuous organic ivory; it is not petrified. It has developed its beautiful colors by taking up minerals from the earth and these colors are impossible to match in any contemporary ivories by modern processes. In time, the Fossil Ivories you wear or use will take on very personal hues from your contact. They will become a part of you.
